Compost Tea: Liquid Gold for your garden and flowers

Shawna Hansen | 05/25/2020

Hello Mass Elite Househunters!  One recipe we gardeners don't mind sharing is Compost Tea.  Basically, what you do is weed your garden and toss the weeds into the driveway or somewhere in the sun to dry out.  Once they dry out, you put them into a bucket with a lid.  Then you fil it up with water, put the lid on and then wait about a week for it to get mushy.  The important things to remember:

1)  weeds need to be completely dried out

2) the mushier and stinkier the tea is, the better!

I put the gunk from the bucket in the compost when I need to make room, but you can keep the gunk in there as long as you want.  I always have a lot of dried of weeds, so I rotate it.

Have fun stinking up the garden!  Don't spill it on your shoes!  Been there, done there!

Ewww!

All the best, Shawna
